We haven't actually got to the tiling part yet - just spending the day laying down a cement underlayment. Let's see a rodent try to chew through that!

I've never done tiling before. Is it hard?
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know. Stay tuned.
ReplyDeleteWhen we redid our kitchen we went with arborite because granite, corian, and quartz was expensive but I regret it. I think arborite is probably good enough but I think the quartz, granite or corian would be worth the extra few thousand. I hope to tile the entry and bathroom at the cabin so please keep us informed on the process. I did a short workshop on tiling at Home Depot but I'm still afraid to screw it up.
ReplyDeleteTiling is tricky. I screwed up and left the grout on too long. My advice (but maybe someone else can help) is to do a little piece of the floor (something that takes about ten minutes), then wait ten minutes and remove the excess grout and then continue. Then it would be alot easier.
